The Dallas chapter of ATD (world’s largest talent development association) holds their annual Southwest Learning Summit every August at Plano Event Center for about the last 9 years. Plano Event Center's service is second to none and they are so easy to work with. Each and every person will help you in any way they can. I believe they are just as excited about the event as we are. As our event attendance gets larger, we have talked about going other places and have looked around, but no one comes close to the service, willingness, and can-do attitude that makes having our event at PEC one less thing to worry about. Each year the staff sees what they can do to raise the bar on an already fantastic event. If you have any type of event in mind, I would recommend looking at the Plano Event Center.
There’s no question that planning a wedding is stressful enough, but add in a 700-person guestlist and all the details to follow; you have the makings for a long and tiring reception planning process. That however, was not our experience with the Plano Event Center. From the moment that we began working with the staff, we knew that had found our venue of choice. The Plano Event Center is staffed with some of the friendliest and most accommodating people that we have ever worked with. Their attention to detail and timely responses are second to none. They worked tirelessly to make our vision come to life. Furthermore, the support staff at the event were exceptional. We received numerous compliments for the catering provided at the Plano Event Center by Chef Bismark and his team. The couple of bites that we were able to squeeze in were absolutely amazing! The food was served quickly and efficiently. The Audio and Visual team were another highlight of our experience with the venue. They provided us with a number of options to transform the room and personalize it our exact details. The work that Collin and his team provided were beyond extraordinary – we encourage anyone looking into the Plano Event Center to utilize their expertise. All this being said, you would be led to believe that the Plano Event Center would be a fortune to rent out and cater from, however, the venue and its amenities were by far the most reasonably priced in the area; all without compromising on quality or care of customer. Location and parking availability were high on our priorities – and let us just say, you’ll just have to go there yourself to believe it. We couldn’t me more satisfied with the overall layout and placement of the Plano Event Center. Finally, we’d like to thank Bethany Hastings, Kim Roberts, and Savannah Brunson for making our wedding day absolutely special and successful. The Plano Event Center and its staff will always be our number one recommendation to our friends and family in the future!
The Democratic Party in Collin County has held events at the Plano Event Center starting as early as 2008. The events range from training sessions or meet and greets for 50-100 people up to major fundraiser dinners with keynote speakers for as many as 500 guests. We begin planning for an event as much as three to five months ahead of time and we are confident of Plano Event Center’s professional planning expertise, wonderful customer service, responsive staff, and creative ideas. The staff is so accommodating to our needs, even last-minute changes. Guests have been delighted by having a DJ or live band as well as a dance floor. We have staged VIP receptions in a separate room nearby. Food and beverage service is stellar, and the dinner selections are unique and tasty. Pricing has been reasonable. While I am not always the chair of an event, I am always involved and never worry when Plano Event Center is in charge.
The Collin College Foundation trusts the Plano Event Center to present a first-class experience for donors, students and guests at our largest and most critical events. Our President’s Circle Reception and annual Scholarship Reception are both hosted on-site at the Plano Event Center, but we have also contracted with the Plano Event Center to cater our signature fundraiser on our campus. This is particularly complex because the fundraiser takes place inside our grand library, so it’s a very non-traditional catering venue. Our guests rave about the food and the service, but I am delighted that the cost doesn’t decimate our humble, non-profit budget because every dollar we save goes toward a scholarship for a student.
We have been using Plano Event Center for company meetings and events for years. The staff is friendly and always meets or exceeds our expectations by ensuing all details are taken care of for our events. The food is always exceptional and their technology staff is absolutely top-notch.
The key to a great festival is location, location, location. I invested two years in researching the perfect venue before choosing the Plano Event Center as ground zero for the inaugural Texas Fly Fishing & Brew Festival. The main exhibition hall is spacious, well-lit, fully carpeted, and eminently flexible. The entire facility is well appointed, and the staff are professional and accommodating. Plano’s manicured, spacious grounds and free parking are just icing on the cake.
As a third party event planner for Texas Society of Professional Engineers and many others, I've used Plano Event Center for years. Its recent renovation is the icing on the cake-- their service, audio visual team, free parking, reasonable rates and flexible space makes it easy to succeed!
