Trinkets to Treasures, Collin County’s largest one-day resale event is organized and staffed exclusively by the Junior League of Collin County (JLCC) provisional new member class. Each year, League members and local businesses donate merchandise, such as home and office furniture, apparel, shoes, children’s toys, sports equipment, small electronics, and much more to this event.
In addition to offering new or gently used merchandise for sale each year, a unique aspect of Trinkets to Treasures is the opportunity for local nonprofits to receive shopping cards to give to its clients. These shopping cards give free admission and $25 to shop for much-needed merchandise. More than 600 shopping cards are distributed each year due to the generous donations by the community.
Trinkets to Treasures also offers important social, health, and safety information for the entire family. Past events have featured blood pressure screenings, dental screenings, eye exams, the Baylor Mammography Mobile Unit, the Plano Police and Fire Departments, Sci-Tech Discovery Center, and fun children’s activities. All proceeds directly impact the programs and initiatives of the Junior League of Collin County. Come join the fun this year and find some great bargains while you’re at it!
Trinkets to Treasures is a huge success year after year due to the generous cash and merchandise donations by many businesses in Collin County and the JLCC membership. If you are interested in donating, please contact Trinkets@jlcollincounty.org.
